Four Ohio municipalities will see local income tax hikes. Unofficial results from the May 4 municipal income tax elections indicate that: 1) the Cridersville Village income tax rate will increase from 1% to 1.5%, effective July 1; 2) the Midvale Village income tax rate will climb from 1% to 1.5%, effective Jan. 1; 3) the Powell City income tax rate will rise from 0.75% to 2%; and 4) the Brewster Village income tax rate will increase from 2% to 2.5%. Effective dates for the Powell City and Brewster Village increases were unavailable.
